Glitter!!!

Blog Challenge #9

So the challenge is to revamp your blog. So I am still working on a banner but have not had much time to get it done. So I at least went in and changed up the colors, love the pastel colors right now with Spring in the air. Keep checking back to see my new banner that I hope to have up this weekend. I would do it tonight but I have to finch packing for the crop tomorrow night at the LSS, so I know I will not have time tonight. I am reorganizing again to get things all together and easier for me to take with me. Is it really a good thing to have to much scrapbook supplies? Sometimes yes and sometimes NO! especially when you have to carry them to the car to the store back to the car then back into the house. Anyways enjoy your day!

Blog Challenge #7

so here's the question posed for challenge #7: An article of clothing that I owned and thought I looked so great in but in hindsight really didn’t was:

Okay the only style that I could find a picture of is when I was in high school 1990 when I wore spandex short with poke-a-dotted boxer shorts over them. My mom hated that I wore these all the time everywhere. Hope you have a good laugh because I sure did today after going back and finding this layout.

A Day in My Shoes...

goes something like this. Wake up at 7 am next to the man that I love and two dogs in the room. I get ready and then out the door by 8:30 am to go to work at Farmers Insurance but I first must stop at Starbucks for some coffee. I then work~work~work, then off to lunch, make a stop at Rite Aid then home to eat and pack for my Relay For Life meeting, then back to work. Today was pretty slow at work so I was able to chat on the forum today while I was still at work. 5:30 pm off to my Relay For Life meeting until 7:30 pm then home to make dinner and do some cleaning the house and my scrap space, reading my new CK mag, checking emails and blogging. This is a very normal day in my life.

Spring is here...

because we now have to work in the yard. Corey and I spent all day Sunday in the back yard working. He dug out to put the new sod in to make the back yard wider. I worked on the small rock wall and leveling out in front of the wall to put more sod down there as well. We still have more work to do but in the end it's worth it and at least we are not sitting on are butt doing nothing on Sunday's anymore. I found this cute pot at Home Depot on Saturday now I just need to find a really cute plant to put in it to put on my outside table. Happy Spring everyone!!

I think that my job stinks right now. There are things going on that I really do not like about it!! Most day's I really like my job but while my boss has been gone and has left me in charge of everything I am becoming very stressed out and it is starting to reflect on my weight loss goals. Even though I am working out to help relieve the daily stress I am still not doing as well as I would like to be doing.

I just had to have the parachute pants and learned to break dance when I was in the 4th grade. So glad that I got out of that stage.

Sing and dance ~ I love to sing and it helps me unwind and dancing is just being able to move and grove:).

CKC Portland

Dinner with Great Friends at Red Robin!! We had a blast and had to many laughs.

Shopping ~ shopping ~ shopping do I need to say more? We found lots and bought lots. We all bought small totes for our
rub-on's and stickers they are so cool. Have to say they are the best things that we bought. Bought lots of paper in Scenic Route paper and Bazzil papers.

We met up with Vicki and Cindy and took a bunch of photo's. Had some great laughs and enjoyed our time together.

Our Max ride was good but a little

smelly for me. We road the Max from the Convention Center to PGE Park where we then had to catch the bus.

We took photo's while we waited for the #15 bus. The bus drive was not very happy with us though when we entered the bus through the back door which you are not do. She told us that we had to get off the bus and come in the front door before the bus would move. So we got off and came back on and we all said Sorry but she did not care about that. It was a mistake and we really did not know either since we have never rode the bus before.

The carrot cake is from Rose's Bakery on NW 23rd. The cake was the BEST Corey and I loved it. We also went to a tea shop and I tried a Pineapple Bubble Tea. It was good but really different. The other photo is of the top of the table in the tea shop.

We ate at Popeyes for Dinner on Saturday in Troutdale. I have never ate at a Popeyes before, it was pretty good. Something else I tried that was new this weekend.

Portland update...

will be posted tonight. I did not have time yesturday had to clean do laundry and all the wife stuff. So I will post photo's and tell some stories tonight.

CKC

I am just way to excited about this weekend in a matter of hours I will on the road headed to Portland to CKC. The three of us are going to have so much darn fun I just can't wait. Carrie is getting off work early and will be at Amy's place of work at 5:00pm so I am going to get off early to meet them at my house so we can leave town. Vicki and Cindy will be heading out shortly after 4:00pm and we are staying at the same Hotel can you believe that and we did not even plan it either. Okay I will stop with this excitement for the moment. Will have photo's and full story posted hopfuly Sunday. Until then have a great weekend.

Update on the Cartwright Family

We took Buster in on Monday and he got a clean bill of health, so no more seeing the Vet until check-up time in June :) This makes me so happy, no more Vet bill's until June at least. With the dogs all well I got the ick last week and now Corey has the ick. Thank goodness we can not give the ick to the dogs and the dogs can not give us there ick either.

Other excitement for me at least I am headed to Portland, Oregon for CKC on Friday with Amy and Carrie. I am so ready for a girls weekend away, we are going to have so much fun can't wait. Cindy and Vicki will also be in Portland hope to run into them why we are there.

Relay is off and running with meeting now every other week from now until June 22nd&23rd. I am excited to see all the teams and to see all the money start rolling in. This year we have online relay as well so we are able to have the teams sign up online and all the information is captured for ACS. Weight Watchers update this last week was a little rough on me I had a gain of only .4 though not all that bad. But I know where I went wrong I ate out a little to much, but I'm back on track for this week (not sure about the weekend though going to Portland remember). I just need to read the menu and stop when I am full. I guess this could be a small test for me. The bad thing is that I now weigh in on Monday's so what I do on the weekend sometimes really counts I don't have the extra day's like I did when I was weighing in on Thursday's.

A winning layout??

I plan on entering this layout at the CKC in Portland this next weekend. They have a layout contest that I want to enter, so I made this layout today. The other layout was my insperation for this layout. I am looking forward to spending next weekend in Portland.
