We are home!!!

Here is Buster in the truck on the way home. Notice the shave :( poor thing.Buster sleeping with his new toys on the way home.

Here is his stitches. We have to leave these in for 2 weeks.

Things have been crazy since we have been home. We got home on Friday at about 3:30pm. We have to watch Buster's every move. We have to make sure he does not lick his stitches so one of us is always in the room with him. One nice thing is that he has wanted to sleep a lot so it makes it nice for us to lounge around with him and relax.

We made it!

We made it to Pullman and Buster is at VTH (veterinary teaching hospital) and he will be staying the night. We had to have new x-rays done today and so we thought he might as well stay at the hospital so he will be ready for tomorrow's surgery. We are still waiting for a phone call from Nicole (our student vet dr) about what they found out with these new x-rays. I just wanted to let you we are here safe and sound and share a few photos of our trip.

Today is the Day!

We are leaving here in about 30 minutes for Pullman. Keep Buster in your thoughts and prayers as he has his surgery. I will try to keep you posted while we are gone.

Jury Duty!

So I had jury duty this morning in Pendleton at the court house for a one day trial. We where due to start at 10:30am but they had a plea change going on in the court room that we needed for our trial. The judge came in stated that he was sorry for the wait but this was a murder trial with 3 defendants that where changing the plea to guilty from not guilty so these thing could take a little longer then they had anticipated. So with 30 people crammed into jury room 224 we sat and waited and waited and waited then at about 11:40am the judge comes back in and tells us that the man whom we where going to listen to his case had a change of heart and changed is plea to guilty. So the good news I did not have to sit in the court room and listen to the case at hand (drug charges) and we all got paid for today and I will not be eligible for circuit court for 2 years now. I have to say I was nerves about this I have never had jury duty before and did not know what to expect. I am extremely happy that I did not have to serve on a long trial with our upcoming trip to Pullman for Buster. It all turned out good and I got to learn something for today. So what did you learn today that you did not know before?

A crop weekend

I created this mini book for Busters trip to Pullman. Here we are cropping away at the Daisy Bucket. It was a nice small group that cropped so we had lots and lots of space to spread out. We did a potluck style dinner that was great, and Miss Carrie brought us Sonic lime aide's (thanks your the best BFF!). Another great day of cropping, laughing, eating and hanging out with the girls.

To WSU we go!

Buster's appointments are made, we will have to be in Pullman Wednesday July 23rd at 11am for his consultation appointment then he will go in the next morning for surgery and will be released on Friday to come home. At this point we don't really know what the surgery will in tale, we will learn all of this information at his appointment on Wednesday. I am planning on taking my laptop so I can update while we are there so everyone will know what's going on.

Buster will get to spend Wednesday night with us in the hotel, we are hoping that he will not bark to much and get us kicked out. We got a good deal on the hotel room and it is pet friendly. They give you a discount it you are having anything done at WSU veterinary teaching hospital which is really nice.

Until next time.

Isn't the surgery going to be expensive??!!

So the answer to this questions is yes our quote is $1900 to $2700 for this surgery. But the cost is not relevant we love Buster and want him to have a happy life. He is one of kids and we will do anything in our power to do the best thing for him and for Thor no matter what the cost might be.

Buster...

will have to have surgery on his left rear knee. Today we found out that Buster does have a torn ligament in his knee and we will need to take him to Pullman, Washington for surgery. We are not sure when we will be going at this point we will know more tomorrow when our vet calls us back after talking to WSU (Washington State University). I am sad that this had to happen to Buster and that he is in pain right now. I will keep you all updated. Please say a little prayer that all will turn out alright.
