A sick Buster

Buster is sick with kennel cough. Poor thing all he wants to do is sleep all day. Corey and I have been fighting to get is pills in him, so now Corey opens his month and I shove the pills down his throat. I know he does not like it but that's what we have to do so he will get better.

Stacy

Okay I just had to share what came in the mail today. They are Stacy's Pita Chips. Stacy is the owner on this company and they sent a box of these pita chips to everyone in America with the name Stacy. This totaly made my day. There where 5 different kinds in the box and the cool thing is that my name is all over the box, so how do I scrap the box? Will have to do some thinking on it.

Did you see the Paper...

and who made the front page. So does this make me famous? : ) Just joking! It was so weird to see my picture on the front page of the Hermiston Hearld tonight. All in good fun to kick off Relay season. As you can see we are dress as the Flintstones family. The theme for this years event is Let's Make Cancer History, and the Flintstones are a page out of history.

We all need a good laugh!!!

The sad thing is that this is so true about people in the Pacific Northwest. Hope you have a good laugh.

You know you are from THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST ACCORDING TO JEFF FOXWORTHY"
1. You know the state flower (Mildew).
2. You feel guilty throwing aluminum cans or paper in the trash.
3. Use the statement "sun break" and know what it means
4. You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.
5. You know more people who own boats rather than air conditioners.
6. You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant.
7. You stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk" Signal.
8. You consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, it is not a real mountain.
9. You can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle's Best, and Veneto's.
10. You know the difference between Chinook, Coho and Sockeye salmon.
11. You know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup, Issaquah, Oregon, Yakima and Willamette
12. You consider swimming an indoor sport
13. You can tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese and Thai, food.
14. In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark-while only working eight-hour days.
15. You never go camping without waterproof matches and a poncho.
16. You are not fazed by "Today's forecast: showers followed by rain,"and "Tomorrow's forecast: rain followed by showers."
17. You have no concept of humidity without precipitation.
18. You know that Boring is a town in Oregon and not just a state of mind.
19. You can point to at least two volcanoes, even if you cannot see through the cloud cover.
20. You notice, "The mountain is out" when it is a pretty day and you can actually see it.
21. You put on your shorts when the temperature gets above 50, but still wear your hiking boots and parka
22. You switch to your sandals when it gets about 60, but keep the socks on.
23. You have actually used your mountain bike on a mountain.
24. You think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists.
25. You buy new sunglasses every year, because you cannot find the old ones after such a long time.
26. You measure distance in hours.
27. You often switch from "heat" to "a/c" in the same day.
28. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit under a raincoat.
29. You know all the important seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Raining (Spring), Road Construction (Summer), Deer & Elk season (Fall).
30. You actually understood these jokes and will probably forward them

A Clock

Now that Mom has her gift I can post some pics of the clock that I made for her for Christmas of McKade. This was a fun project, I would like to do one for Corey's mom of Aaniya. I thought that it would be harder then it was, I had Corey take the clock apart for me then I just scraped the face and painted the second hand blue to match the clock layout.

Our Christmas...

was memorable in good and bad ways. Christmas Eve is spent at our home with Corey's family but his dad and grandma where both under the weather and not feeling very good so we ended up not having our family gathering. Still made my dinner that I had planned and Corey and I opened a gift (since we would normally open all of our gifts). We then spent Christmas morning with my parents and had a wonderful Christmas breakfast and slowly opened up all our gifts. We then spent the afternoon at Corey's parents house and had Christmas Dinner with them, and opened the rest of our gifts. I was spoiled and usual, Corey got me jewelry and I also got a new washer ( am so loving it). All and all 2006's Christmas was wonderful.

A New Toy

So why is it when you get a new toy you spend all your time figuring it out and playing with it. Corey and I both got new Razor phones for Christmas. I got a shiny Red one and Corey got a silver one and we are still playing with them today. There is just some much to learn and play with, it's amazing what you can do on a cell phone now.

O' Christmas Tree O' Chirstmas Tree

Wanted to share some more pixs of my Christmas tree.

Cards... More Cards...

I love getting Christmas cards. Love seeing all the photos and the little letters that tell you what is happening in there lives. But it is a little sad that some of the cards are the only contact that you may have the whole year with this person/family. Makes me reflect that I should make more of an effort to send something in the middle of the year or make an effort to call. I was so happy to get a card from a friend of mine that I have not talked to in over a year, the bad thing is there is no return address on the card so I am not sure where she is. So Merry Christmas to the Michael Family.

I signed up and attended my first Weight Watchers meeting last night. I am excited about it, but also have some reservations that I will not do so go at this. I just have to keep telling myself that I have made the first step and the rest will coming even if it comes slowly. I got my books last night and I have been reading them ever since. Thanks to Amy and Cassarda for sharing the excitement of there weight loss that has encouraged me to start.
