My New Project!!!

I am finally starting my new project. I am working on the Perspective album that Ali taught when she was in Hermiston. I did not take her class but have the homework information to do my own album. So I have been taking the 40 photo's that is required to make this album. Now I just need to put the pages together. I am doing the album all in pinks, thought that would make it more me.

Og Mandio

Og Mandino : Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

I just love this saying. Only if we call could live this way, the world truely would be a better place to live. Realy how hard is it to be Kind to a person. Not that hard!!

Relay For Life 2006!!!

Well this year was another good year for Relay we made our goal for Money of $100,000.00. At closing of event we had $100,847.40,. I am still in shock that we made goal. But I am like this every year though. Now the planning for 2007 will begin soon. Still not sure if I will be helping with that event in the same area or not, have not made up my mind at this time. I am sharing a some photo's from the opening of Relay on June 16th, 2006. Thank you to all the volunteers and to the survivors the reason that we do what we do. There is so much work and headach that goes into this Event but it is worth it when we see what this community can raise for a good cause. My reason to Relay is my mother and grandmother both breast cancer survivors.

Sharing

This was on Ali's new Happiness blog.
This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind... Let it be something good.
Author Unknown

Thought that I would share it for toughs of you who may not read her blog (I'm sure most of you do though). I have been striving to take one day at a time and live my day to the fullest because you never know if it will be your last. I am trying to not to stress about the small stuff and enjoy life. I know that there are speed bumps in the road of life but as long as you know that they may appear from no where and slow down when you reach them you will continue your journey threw life.

{Ali}

This was a great weekend with Ali at the Daisy Bucket. I enjoyed my classes that I took. I am in love with the Favorite Photo's album that I made. I want to make another one. It was so fun talking with her and just hanging out. I am so in to the Life Artist thing and I am wanting to create the daily life happenings. Ali also brought Simon for all of to meet he is one cool dude. Here is some photo's of this changing experience.

Ali's Manifesto about being a LIFE ARTIST.So, life artist it is.So who is a life artist? Do you take photos of your family, yourself, your environment, your world? Do you tell stories? Do you bring them all together onto paper, into your computer, onto a canvas (or some other cool concoction)? Do you create art journals with all kinds of wonderfully interesting pieces of your life and thoughts and emotions? Do you celebrate your life through your art?You are a life artist.I am a life artist.(writen by Ali Edwards on her blog March 20th

Art Journal

Here are some pixs of my new art journal that I have started with Carrie and Amy. Still trying to figure out my first challenge though. I think I have an idea but not sure. I think I am over thinking this thing I just need to do it. Just do it!!!

Arpril~May~June Journals!!

Here are more of my journals. I think so far my most favorite journal is May's journal. Love the colors and the layout. I am glad that I am keeping up within my journals. They have been helping me keep track of different dates and with other things going on within my life.

My Creative Space!!!

My current project that I am now working on. I am putting the finishing touches on the album for Mike. I need to get it into the mail so Laurna can give it to him for Father's Day or his Birthday next month. Speeking of I need to write out the cost of the album.

I'm Okay...

I can still scrapbook. I have found my place again. Here is some of my most recent work. I have also been designing for The Daisy Bucket. I am so excited about everything that is happening right now for me. I love this lay out of Thor she is so so cute. I scrap lifted this idea out of Ali Edwards new book that I was able to get a look out. The photo did not turn out very well though.

What's with me...

I just can't get into scrapping the last few weeks. I just want to create nothing. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? I know I go though these stages but I am so excited after attending CKC I thought I would have no problem getting started on a project. I think my main problem is that I really don't have any photo's that I want to create with. I really need to go out and shoot some film. I have been asked to do 3 albums. I have 2 for my Uncle Mike and 1 for Relay For Life. The 1st one for Mike is of his bear hunting trip to Montana, 2nd is of him though out he opening pitch for Little Legues Baseball in Hermiston. Then the one for Relay is the last 9 years that we have had Relay in Hermiston. I am still waiting to the stuff to start that album. I really feel bad though. I am reading my new CK mag. And I am getting ideas in my mind of things I want to do but then to sit and do it I am having a block. Carrie just asked me if I want to crop this Friday I am thinking that I should before I crop next Saturday April 29th at the Daisy Bucket.

CKC Review

I had a good time a CKC in Portland this last weekend. I was able to come away with a few new things that I realy want to put to use. One is a way to add some texture to my pages, and the big thing is to Scrap my life right now, and to realy think outside the box when creating. I am realy looking forward to start scraping with a different look at life and my love of scrapbooking. Will have to post my projects at a later date they are not finshed at this time.

Crop Night

I was able to get a few things done at the crop last night at the Daisy Bucket.
I made and altered soap tin box into an album. I made the pages using chip board so they are stiffer. I will scrap these pages with Corey, Thor, and my favorite things. I also got my small album done to take with me to the CKC in Portland. Then I got a journal altered also.

1984 Chevy Pick-up

Can you believe that this is our old 1984 Chevy pick-up? Corey went out and took these photos the other night. After selling it in Nov. 2000 the new owner rolled it sometime early in 2001. The owner now bought it from the bank in Heppner a few years ago. He is just now starting to part it out. Corey went and bought the wench and bump off of the truck.

Paper Bags!!

Thor loves it when I come home from the Daisy Bucket with my white bag full of goodies. She knows that once I empty it out she will have a bag to tare into a million peices.
