Wanted to share this

this was in an email that I got today from the Biggest Loser.

For five seasons now, Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper has inspired countless Americans to get in shape. Here's some tips he told us to keep in mind about food, exercise and motivation.
Bob on Food:If it grows out of the ground, or you can pick it off a tree, chances are that it's good for you.

Eliminate the problem. Get rid of temptation foods in your house. Don?t even bring them in.
If you don't have measuring cups available, use your fist to figure out correct portions. From chicken breasts to veggies to fruit, just about every portion you'll eat is the size of your fist.

Bob on Exercise:Thinking that you can't get in shape because you don't have two hours a day to exercise is just another excuse for doing nothing. Start small, because small can only get bigger. Starting big means burning out, blowing out, getting injured--another reason you might quit altogether.

When Michael Phelps is in the pool swimming, what is he thinking about? He's thinking about one thing and that's swimming faster. When Lance Armstrong is in a race, what is he thinking about? Pedaling faster.

Bob on Motivation:The main thing is to make peace with your body now, before you try to change it. Accept where you are at the moment. Okay, you're overweight. But how great that you've decided to do something about it...

Thank You

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement I am taking them to heart and taking one day at a time. I kept within my points today which makes me feel better that I choose wisely about what to eat. I will struggle alittle tomorrow as Corey and I will be eating out some where in Tri-City's for dinner but I will keep focused and make a good choose on my food. Thanks Cindy for going to Curves tonight, it was a good workout after the last two nights on the treadmill.

Am I failing???

I feel that I am failing right now with my weight it is getting the better of me. I weighed in last night and gained 1.8 pds. Ya I know 1.8 is not that bad but still it's a gain from the week before. But at least I am not blind about why I gained it's my eating, I just can't seem to stay on track. I do really good for a few days then fall flat on my face. I know I have done well with what I have already lost to date but still I am frustrated with this last 30 pounds that needs to go. I am trying to get myself motivate to get back on track and stick with it because I know I can do this I know I can win the battle of the FAT. As I told Cindy last night (as I am on the treadmill) I need someone to inspire me to push me. I need you girls to help me and push me to reach my goals. I want to have SUCCESS with getting to my goal weight in 2008. Will you help me not be a failure?

It's a Dodge!!!

As some of you know Corey and I have been shopping for the last month for a new truck. we have been back an forth between Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge we have been to so many dealers and talked with so many salesman. (I am so thankful we are done talking with car salesman who don't care about what you really want but just to sell you something TODAY!!!) But we made up our minds yesterday and put down a $500 deposit on a 2008 Dodge 2500 Mega Cab truck from Dave Smith Motors. We are so excited about his purchase this will be the first time that we have bought a brand new vehicle ever. We are hoping to go pick it up this weekend. I will keep you posted.

Motivation

Okay I have some new motivation to get this last 30 pounds off and to keep my butt in the gym. I got new shoes, new work out clothing, some new kick ass music on my ipod and Jillian Michaels Making the Cut book. I am so tiered of struggling with my weight I want to reach my goal weight. So with these few tools I know I will reach it.

It's Snowing :)

a update on my life

I am still here just busy, busy, busy. With the holidays over I can finally breath we had a full schedule of events the weekend of Christmas. Friday night friends over dinner and games, Saturday family over then went through the Festival of Lights at the fairgrounds, Sunday friends over again, Monday (Christmas Eve) family over dinner and opening of gifts, Christmas day out to my parents for breakfast and gifts then to Corey's patent's for dinner. All and all Corey and I had a blast this holiday season with spending time with friends and family.

Even though the holidays are over we are still so busy, we have been spending our Sunday's in the Tri-City's shopping for a new Truck for Corey. We are so unsure what we want at this time we are driving everything and asking a lot of questions to find the right truck. I feel as though I am never home to get anything done and when I am home I clean, cook, and sleep. I am looking forward to relaxing and cropping next Saturday at the Bucket.

I just thought I would let you all know that all is well with the Cartwright family. We hope that you all have a great 2008.

One last thing the one word for 2008 for me is SUCCESS. This really should have been my word for last year but I am still struggling to reach some of my goals so I am hoping that this year I will have SUCCESS in reaching them.
