Happy Happy Joy Joy...

it's Friday!! I am so happy that Friday is here and my work day is more then half over. You would like with after having 12 days off and only having to work 4 days this week that I wouldn't be this excited about Friday. Maybe it has to do with that it is one week closer to scrapping with the girls, or the fact that we are having friends over this weekend for dinner and good conversation, either way I am HAPPY!! I am still not sure if I am going to go to the Tri-City's tomorrow or not to do some quick shopping but I really should since we need dog food and they don't sell the correct stuff here in Hermiston. (spoiled kids have to have special food) I just wanted to say Happy Happy Joy Joy to you all and hope you have great weekend and go do something fun in the sun.

What a great week

I am sad that today is my last day of vacation, I so do not want it to be over. I have enjoyed my time off and to be able to sleep in most mornings. Corey and I had a good time on our day trips and learned lots.

On a good note I got a new camera that I am in love with. Go check it out here.

Hope you all had a great long weekend playing in the sun and having BBQ's with your family and friends. Here is a few pictures of our relaxing weekend.

Another Road Trip

We went to The Dalles on Wednesday this week. We went to the Pancake House for breakfast then headed to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum. This place was so cool and packed full of information so so so much information, we left there with our heads spinning from all the information. Loved learning all that we seen there. Then we headed for the Fort Dalles Museum and Anderson Homestead. The fort was built in 1856 the last standing house is the U.S.Army Surgeon's Quarters and the 1880's Log House, Granary and Barn of the Lewis Anderson Family that was given to The Dalles. This place was also fun to learn the history of the fort and the house and the simplicity of it all. There is also a great view point at the top of The Dalles that over looks the whole town and Columbia River.

Road Trip

We took a road trip to Sumpter and Baker City, Oregon on Monday. We got up early and headed out making a few stops along the way. Stopped at a look out before Emigrant Springs state park and then went to Emigrant Springs and drove around and looked at the small cabins that they have to rent. We made our way into Baker City and had lunch and went to the Museum (the building was a indoor pool in the 1930's) and seen lots of great history items. We then headed to Sumpter to see the Dredge. The dredge is an important historic and cultural resource that links Oregon pioneering past with settlement and development. I still can not believe what the dredge left behind all the piling of rocks that go for miles and miles in every direction. We where not able to board the dredge due to the spring run off there is so much water that the pond that the dredge is in has flooded the bottom level of the dredge. Went to see the camp grounds that Corey stayed at when he was a kid McCully Creek camp grounds. We went and found our friends property in Sumpter. Then we headed back into Baker City and went to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, even though we did not have a lot of time to walk through we still enjoyed the place.

Barack Obama

Okay so last week I went and seen Bill Clinton and this week I went to see Barack Obama. What an amazing year in politics this year with so many things that will make history. I am so lucky that I was able to see both of these great speakers.

Did you know it's Raining?

Yep it's raining right now outside my office window I can see if falling from the sky. The rain for some reason makes me happy, not sure why maybe it's the smell of rain or the fact that I don't have to water my plants tonight when I get home :). Happy Tuesday to you!

Bill Clinton

I went and seen past President Bill Clinton yesterday in Pendleton, OR. He is out on the champagne trail for Hillary. His speech was about an hour long and was very motivating in why to vote for Hillary. It was amazing listening to him speak. At the end of his speech he did signing, photo opts, and shook hands and I am proud to say mine was one of them. I can how cross this off of my list of things to do before I die is to see a current or past president.
